We are developing new materials for various applications cooperating with raw yarn manufacturers and yarn processing companies.

Based on a high-mix low-volume production system, we possess technology for weaving a wide variety of warp and weft yarns with a complex weave design.

It is possible to combine various functional performances by dyeing printing and incidental processing technology at cooperating factories in various places in Japan.

  This is Katsukura's challenge.

  Our strength is the spirit of "be creative tomorrow" by creating new things and that no one else has made. Since our founding, we have been trying various new things. Since being certified as a rayon textile designated factory by Toray Industries, Inc. in 1947, we have also started research on textile manufacturing such as nylon and polyester, leading the industry. We have established textile manufacturing technology with synthetic filament in Japan. After that, in a result we continued to develop and research new materials and technologies, we established an integrated production system from materials to products. In recent years, we have also emphasized the development of demand. Demand is not a convenient thing everybody can imagine, but a unique and novel idea that no one can think of.We will continue to challenge the development of new “textiles” with a view to the future,the world's first “technology” based on the latest information that is advancing day by day,and the development of “demand” with a focus on life and markets.
